cesta tote ~ large ~ traditional ~ lined

Designed by ixöq and handwoven by our partner artisans in Guatemala, using threads of recycled plastic, these large ‘cesta’ totes are modeled on the traditional market bags you see throughout Latin American. They come in a variety of colors customarily woven on a background of white and including the traditional diamond in the center. The inverted traditional design uses the darker color as the background and white or beige for the detailing. These are available with our custom designed removable lining, sewn using up-cycled traditional ‘jaspe’ fabric.

These totes make for a perfect all-year-long bag. The large size is perfect for the market, for travel, for the office, the gym, outdoor entertaining, basically anywhere that you'd like an attractive and sturdy carry-all bag. They are very durable and easy to clean and they are 100% vegan!

All ixöq products are ethically made, sustainable sourced, and follow fair trade standards. We work directly with our partner artisans on each custom order and pay a fair wage for the artisans’ work.
